Parkour

Parkour is an athletic training discipline or sport in which practitioners (called traceurs) attempt to get from point A to point B in the fastest and most efficient way possible.

Parkour classes

Please note our schedule is subject to change. Always be sure to book your registration ahead of time via our online calendar to ensure your spot.

  • Intro to Parkour

    • Start with this class to learn the basic skills that we build upon through each level. Students will be promoted to white band after completing one intro class. Intro to parkour is required for all following classes unless otherwise specified.

  • White Band Parkour

    • White band students will learn new skills every week. These skills are based on the foundational skills learned in intro to parkour class. Skills rotate on a weekly basis.

  • Green Band Parkour

    • Green band students will learn new, advanced skills and techniques, most of which are based on white band skills.
To earn a green band, students must pass a level-up exam.

  • Low-impact Parkour (ages 35+)

    • Low-impact parkour is designed for adults to learn parkour skills with less of the joint pain; more of a focus on the connection between the body and obstacles with emphasis on being mindful and aware. No intro required.

  • Nano Parkour (ages 6-8)

    • Nano parkour is the class for ages 6-8 to learn parkour skills within a more play-based structure. No intro required.

  • Speedrunning (ages 15+)

    • Speedrunning class is great for fans of chase tag and students who want to improve their agility and mobility. Chase tag is the fastest growing format of parkour competition and MindShift has a proud legacy of world class taggers. Will you be next? Practice parkour techniques, and conditioning. (White band or higher)

  • Eat Your Veggies (ages 9+)

    • Conditioning, bails, all the things that make you stronger and better at parkour and overall movement. We will focus on calisthenic conditioning, body intuition and awareness, and failing in a safer environment. Don't worry, it's fun despite the name.

Tricking, Freerunning, and Acro Tumbling

Tricking and freerunning is a subset of parkour that focuses more on tricks, flips, and the flashy acrobatic side of parkour movements. Students interested in tricking and freerunning will need to start with intro to parkour.

Acro tumbling takes the best parts of gymnastics and tricking & freerunning and combines them into one class. Students will work on basic skills like rolls, cartwheels, and bridges and progress into more advanced skills like flips, back handsprings, and more. These are great classes for both beginners and advanced students. Our coaches are great at adjusting to your individual level.

  • Adult Acro Tumbling (ages 15+)

    • No intro required; intro to parkour is recommended

  • Kids Flips & Freerunning (ages 9-14)

    • White band & up (Intro to parkour required)
