Dance

Our dance program is for adults and teens ages 15+. These classes are designed for beginners but welcome all dancers.

  • Ballet Dance (ages 15+)

    • This is a class for all levels from total newbies to those rekindling their passion for dance. No ballet shoes or leotards required, but do bring socks if not wearing ballet shoes and wear clothes you can move around easily in. No experience or intro class required.

      • What to expect:

        • A supportive, judgement-free zone

        • Improved flexibility, strength, balance, and posture

        • A fun way to stay active and express yourself

        • A boost in confidence and body awareness

  • Contemporary Dance (ages 15+)

    • This class is focused on learning contemporary combinations with basic fundamental technique and a different emotion behind it each week. Technical experience not required but recommended.

  • Belly Dancing (ages 18+)

    • This class is for an introduction to bellydancing and beginners. We will focus on learning the foundational circular, figure 8, isolation, and shimmy movements of the head, neck, ribcage, and belly/pelvis/hips, plus a little choreography and free dancing.

    • This is a body-positive class that is appropriate for people who are looking for a fun way to have a rewarding full body work out and learn to use muscles they probably have no idea they possess! Adult class - ages 18+. NO experience needed.

  • Jazz Dance (ages 15+)

    • This class focuses on learning fundamental jazz techniques and combinations to a variety of music. Open to all skill levels, whether you’ve never danced or looking to get back into an old passion we’re glad to have you! Come wearing Jazz shoes or socks, moveable and breathable clothes, bring a positive attitude, nothing else needed. Technical experience not required but always welcomed.

    • Work on small and focused movements that can be adapted to your experience, flexibility, and strength. Barre is based in ballet exercises but incorporates elements of Pilates and yoga for added flexibility and muscle development. Come wearing socks or barefoot and clothes easy to move in, bring stretch bands and ankle/wrist weights if you have them.

Yoga
  • Hammock Yoga (ages 15+)

    • Hammock yoga, also known as aerial yoga, is a yoga practice that uses a short hammock apparatus as the main prop. This unique prop is used throughout the class to make poses more accessible, allow deeper expression of poses, add an optional challenge, or provide a pose expression that isn't possible on the ground.

    • This Vin-Hatha class combines the with-the-breath flows of Vinyasa and longer pose explorations of Hatha to deliver the best of both worlds. No previous experience in yoga or aerial arts is required and all levels are welcome.

Flexibility & Fitness

Want to improve your flexibility and strength overall? These classes are great for cross-training.

  • Flexibility class

    • From maintaining the flexibility needed for daily independent life to increasing flexibility for incredible feats of contortion and everywhere in between, this class has you covered!  Each week focuses on opening, lengthening, and strengthening the specific body areas needed to work toward an optional contortion challenge. Classes cycle through three main categories—middle splits, backbends, and front splits for the optional challenge—covering flexibility in all major body areas throughout each month.

    • Because this class is floor-based and uses no specialized equipment, it can also be attended virtually via Google Meet (the link will be emailed to registered students). No previous experience is needed and all current flexibility levels are welcome.

  • Hammock Sculpt (ages 15+)

    • Build full-body stability, mobility, and strength through targeted, low-repetition bodyweight and suspension training movements that emphasize form and quality over quantity.

    • Each session will cover a set of familiar exercises, giving them a new twist using the hammock and other props. Most exercises take place barefoot or in socks, either on the mat or in the hammock with a small standing section for suspension training. Class flow is specifically designed to minimize rapid body position changes and includes modifications to avoid placing weight directly on joints.

    • No previous mat work or suspension training is needed and all current fitness levels are welcome.

  • Cirque Fit (ages 15+)

    • Cirque Fit is a conditioning class targeting upper body, core, and lower body areas to improve aerial practice using combinations of Pilates-like exercises and on-apparatus drills. This is a great class for anyone looking for a good workout.

    • No intro/experience needed
